Patrice Girardin

Multiple FAI World Champion

Patrice Girardin is the Project Manager in charge of International Relations within the Fédération Française du Parachutisme (FFP). He is 61 years old and has four children who have all tasted flight with skydiving outdoors and indoors.


Patrice's 40-year career in the sport climaxed with four FAI World Champion titles plus wins of several World Cups. He also has a number of world records to his credit.


Patrice switched to event organization in 1995 - with the FAI World Formation Skydiving Championships of that year in Gap, France. He was the Meet Director of the World Air Games for the parachuting and skydiving events in 1997 in Turkey and again in 2001 in Spain. When the FFP relaunched the "Mondial" concept, he organized the inaugural edition in 2003. He also directed the Formation Skydiving and Artistic World Championships in Maubeuge, France, in 2008.
